    452225 - Robotics League

    FIRST LEGO LEAGUE JR. EXPO Team requirement: (ages 6 through 8years) are expected to show interest to work with LEGO, show interest in building motorized object relating to the EXPO/Challenge topic, show readiness to work with team, exposure to Wedo or Wedo 2.0 or scratch programming is a plus.
    FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) age (9 through 14years) and VEX IQ competition team (Elementary and Middle school) are expected to know how to work in the EV3 platform type, build and program the robot, be a good team player, and do project research.
    VEX IQ competition team (Elementary and Middle school) are expected to know to work in the VEX IQ platform type, build and program the challenge robot, be a good team player, work in Modkit or Robot C or any visual programing for VEXIQ platform.

    What to expect from the competition meets:
    -Students are grouped based on the platform type, age and exposure to the programming and building. Each team will have 4 to 6 students in their team
    -VEX IQ team will have elementary and middle school teams.
    -Coach will explain how the graphical programming works. This is not a programming class where students are thought detailed programming.
    -The meet will be fully focused on challenge perspective only. Students are expected to know how to program in order to accomplish the robot competition mission using the particular platform type.
    -Coach will explain the competition rules, provide resources for research project.
    -Provide necessary materials to build and program the competition robot and the game materials.
    -Educate them how to build a prototype of competition robot.
    -Since its a competition, it is expected that the work should be done ONLY by the team members.
    -According to the competition rule coach should NOT be programming to accomplish the challenge missions.
    -Coach will educate and provide resources in challenge perspective topic ONLY.

    A $25 Supply Fee is due to the instructor on the first day of the session.
