    Campers will be introduced to the world of whitewater kayaking in a safe, fun and enriching environment. Through the guidance of our experienced instructors campers will learn the basic elements of whitewater kayaking and water safety, including wet-exits, forward and reverse sweep strokes, braces, peel outs, eddy turns, ferries and river reading skills. All of the skills taught build a strong foundation for recreational river running. The camp involves lots of fun activities, including games and swimming to build a strong kayaking and safety skill set. All kayaks, helmets, paddles and PFDís are provided.

    367120 - Introduction to Sport Climbing

    This is not a beginner course. Our professional instructors will introduce participants to the world of sport climbing using the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Climbing Tower! Participants will have the chance to learn basic sport climbing skills, techniques, and terminology. All sport climbing will be in a practice setting on tope rope belay to ensure climber safety. This course does not cover lead belaying. Previous rock climbing experience is recommended. All equipment provided.
