    451926 - Holistic Arts

This thirteen-week program is designed to help individuals understand that living a healthy lifestyle is a mindful journey, not a destination. Participants will set goals and learn about wellness topics. Each session will include a discussion on learning ways to take control of your health by using self-awareness techniques and learning skills and tools that can be used to move closer to optimal health.

Why and Expectations - This interactive class will stir up thoughts and insight as to why we are looking for change and learning what options are available to do so. We will set goals and intentions so that you will have a personalized experience with the ability to empower yourself and hold yourself accountable for your mental, physical and emotional well-being.

What is holistic arts? - You will discover many of the modalities that are available and how they work to help you develop from the inside out. This will help you determine which process or processes work best for you as you learn about Chakras, Auras, Reiki, Distance Healing, Yoga, Hypnosis, Dream Symbols, EFT, Meditation, Prayer, Frequencies, and Essential Oils, opening your options for change.

Environment and DNA - Learn how environmental factors can trigger changes in your DNA, thus affecting your health, emotions, and subsequent behavior. Learn about reading labels accurately. This will enable you to ditch and switch to a healthier lifestyle.

Why Essential Oils? - This class focuses on Young Living Essential oils and products, and why they are a better choice for the maintenance of a healthy mind and body. Learn how frequencies work and how essential oils help keep you balanced physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Essential oils affect every system in your body and the frequencies of the oils know what part of the body to go to depending on the frequency of your organs. Keeping your frequency above a certain level is key to maintaining good health.

Chakras and Auras - Learn more about Chakras and the importance of keeping them balanced. The seven chakras are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through. Blocked energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it's important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Auras represent your physical, mental, emotional, as well as spiritual energies and are often seen as a fine mix of colored frequencies around the body. The aura is directly connected to the level of health of a person.

Healing Therapies - Reiki is a Japanese based technique used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by transferring energy from one person to another, encouraging emotional or physical balance. EFT is an alternative to acupressure therapy and is used to restore balance to your disrupted energy by tapping on specific meridian points which relate to specific parts of the body and emotions. Distance Healing Therapy is practiced when a recipient is not physically present due to preference, distance, or illness. We are all made of energy, vibrating at different pitches or levels, designating different stages of life. This type of therapy is used by people who are able to intuitively work with universal energy. Animals are also very receptive to energy healing therapy because they have very few barriers to communication, on an energetic level, due to their instinct to maximize survival.

Make and Take Essential Oils - This two-hour class will involve hands-on learning of how to use Young Living essential oils to make recipes and take them home with you. The ($20) cost includes all supplies needed to make three custom recipes to take and use at home, along with recipe ideas to use in the future. Supplies such as a spray bottle, a roller bottle, carrier oils, essential oils and other items needed to make custom products will be provided.

Dreams and Symbols - There is no "One Dream Interpretation Fits All." Symbols in our dreams are important and represent different feelings, moods, memories, or something from our subconscious that is trying to get your attention. Many of us do not consciously remember our dreams, however, once the subconscious is made aware that you are listening, you may begin to remember your dreams more clearly. This class will be limited to 4 or 5 dream interpretations that will be submitted anonymously by email prior to class.

Meditation - Meditation and prayer have both been practiced for thousands of years and many times people think they are contradictory when in fact they are complimentary. Meditation is the practice of focusing your mind inward to a state of deep peace, calming the mind and controlling your thoughts in order to achieve mental clarity and an emotional calm state on demand. This works to lower stress levels and focus on positive emotions and compassion. It is learning to control your thoughts and emotions, which in turn helps you to be less distracted by life’s challenges.

Animal Assisted Therapy - Learn about how AAT is a type of therapy that involves animals as a form of treatment and emphasizes a bond of love and respect that is created during a session or sessions. This type pf therapy is especially effective for people with social, emotional or cognitive functioning needs, ie: PTSD patients, special needs children, and others. This type of therapy is especially effective at enhancing and complementing the benefits of traditional therapy.

Hypnosis - Also referred to as Hypnotherapy, according to the Mayo Clinic, hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviors or to help you cope better with anxiety or pain. Hypnotherapy is designed to help individuals relax and focus their minds and is therapeutically effective for a wide range of conditions, including pain, anxiety and mood disorders.

Life Coaching - Life Coaching involves focus on the present and the future rather than on the past. Life Coaches help people identify their goals, the obstacles they face, and offer guidance and support to that end. The emphasis is on accountability and personal empowerment. This class will offer participants the opportunity to ask question and voice suggestions on what they would like to learn for future classes. These classes have been designed to help you recognize what it is you are trying to achieve in life and how to get there. Knowledge and self-empowerment is the key.

Summary of Classes - This will be a fun class, touching on all aspects of the program, summarizing ways to keep the momentum going for your future success. There will be an opportunity to have help with customizing your personal map to physical, emotional and/or mental health. *This class will include a drawing for a Wellness Basket. Each person will get an entry for every class they attended in this series. You must attend this class to win.
