    451926 - Holistic Arts

This nine week program is designed to help individuals understand that living a healthy lifestyle is a mindful journey, not a destination. Participants will set goals and learn about wellness topics such as; Self-Care, Stress Reduction, Emotional Releasing, EFT, Meditation and Relaxation. Other topics will be Essential Oils, The Environment and how it affects our DNA, thus affecting our health, hormones, emotions and subsequent behavior. Basic Holistic Arts will be discussed and taught within this applied setting. Each session will include a discussion on learning ways to take control of your health by using self awareness techniques and learning skills and tools that can be used to move closer to optimal health. At the end of the program there will be a drawing for a Wellness Basket that you must be present to win.

    Jan 19 - Session 1
    I Am…..
This interactive class will stir up thoughts and insight as to why you are looking for change and learning what options are available to do so. You, and only you, are the gatekeeper to your body. You will learn how to also be the gatekeeper to your mind. You will be setting your goals and intentions in order to have a personalized experience with the ability to empower yourself and hold yourself accountable for your mental, physical and emotional well being.

    Jan 26 - Session 2
    Holistic Arts; What are they?:
You will discover many of the modalities that are available and how they work to help you develop from the inside out. We will talk about the different options and what they are meant to do for you. This will help you determine which process or processes work best for you as you learn about Chakras, Auras, Reiki, Distance Healing, Yoga, EFT, Meditation, Frequencies, and Essential Oils, opening your options for change. Each of these bring different approaches to opening up your potential for a better life.

    Feb 2 - Session 3
The Environment and how Your DNA is affected:
The Environment includes the air you breathe, the foods you eat, the liquids you drink, the products you use, the energy in your home, and more. Learn how these Environmental factors can trigger changes in your DNA, thus affecting your hormones, emotions, subsequent behavior, and overall health. Everything is tied together and we must start paying attention to the way our bodies are responding to these environments and work towards making changes.
Ask yourself, “Am I living or am I in the process of dying?”
Learn about reading labels accurately and what those big words mean. Some labels are made to fool you….are you really eating cheese? Or, is that really Maple Syrup? Or, is that really cream in your coffee?
You will need to bring your smart phone to this class because we will be researching some of those words and learning which parts of the body they affect. This class will enable you to make wiser choices to Ditch and Switch to a healthier lifestyle.

    Feb 9-Session 4
    Why Essential Oils:
This class focuses on Young Living Essential Oils and Products, and why they are a perfect choice for the maintenance of a healthy mind and body. We will be exploring the concept of frequencies and how high frequency tools like essential oils help keep one physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually balanced. Essential oils are the life blood of the plant and they are an amazing source of support to help your body maintain a healthy frequency, as it is important to keep your frequency above a certain level. Thanks to founder Gary Young,Young Living has a strict Seed To Seal Promisetm insuring the purity of their oils….From owning their own farms or partnering with farmers around the world, to using seeds that have not been genetically modified, to the holistic growing practices,to the precise timing of the harvest, to the state-of-the-art bottling and everything in between. Gary Young was a modern-day pioneer that traveled the world for 25+ years, learning of ancient recipes and techniques that generations of families passed down on how to maintain the integrity of these precious gifts.

    Feb 23 - Session 5
    Feelings and Emotions:
Feelings, emotions and thoughts are energies that we either send out or absorb in. These energies are stored in different organs of the body and, if not addressed properly, can wreak havoc on our health. Learn which emotions are stored in which organs and why we react certain ways when we are presented with certain life situations. You can learn how to control your emotions, but you must also learn how to release past hidden emotions in a way that does not disrupt your life or those around you. This can be done by a practitioner who is certified in most energy healing modalities, including Kinesiology (aka: muscle testing). Tapping into the subconscious can open a host of emotions but only if you allow them to be recognized and released. Releasing hidden emotions and replacing that negative energy with good, positive energy is key to being able to move forward in life.
We will be using essential oils in this class.

    March 2- Session 6
    Chakras, Auras and Energy Blocks:
Have you ever seen a person walk into a room and thought "Wow, that person has great energy!" or "Wow, stay away from that person, he looks mean", or, "Wow, she’s got a great aura!" Learn more about Chakras and the importance of keeping them balanced. The seven major chakras are the centers in our bodies through which our energy flows. Blocked energy in these seven chakras can often lead to illness (physical and emotional), so it's important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Meditation can play a big part in clearing your own Chakras.Auras represent your physical, mental, emotional, as well as spiritual energies and are often seen as a fine mix of colored frequencies around the body. The aura is directly connected to the level of health of a person.

    March 9 - Session 7
Reiki, Energy, and Distance Healing Therapy:
Reiki is a Japanese based technique used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes self-healing. It is administered by one-person channeling energy to another (or self), encouraging emotional or physical balance. This type of energy healing allows the body to “breathe”, giving your mind the freedom you need to intentionally move towards the direction you want to go. This, along with meditation, helps your mind control your body, not the other way around.
EFT is an alternative to acupressure therapy and is used to restore balance to your disrupted energy by tapping on specific meridian points, thus stimulating the nerve endings, which relate to specific parts of the body and emotions.
Distance Healing Therapy can be used in most energy sessions and is practiced when a recipient is not physically present due to preference, distance, or illness. We are all made of energy, vibrating at different pitches or levels, designating different stages of life. This mode of therapy is used by people who are able to intuitively work with universal energy.
Animals are also very receptive to energy healing therapy because they have very few barriers to communication on an energetic level due to their instinct to maximize survival.

    March 16 - Session 8
The Power of Meditation and Prayer:
Meditation and prayer have both been practiced for thousands of years and many times people think they are contradictory when in fact they are complimentary.
Meditation is the practice of focusing your mind inward to a state of deep peace, calming the mind and controlling your thoughts in order to achieve mental clarity and an emotional calm state on demand. This works to lower stress levels and focus on positive emotions and compassion. It is learning to control your thoughts and emotions, which in turn helps you to be less distracted by life’s challenges. Most prayer is an expression of thanks or an earnest hope or wish.

    March 23 - Session 9*
    Moving Forward:
These classes have been designed to help you recognize what it is you are trying to achieve in life and how to get there. Knowledge and Self-empowerment is the key. We will be focusing on the present and the future rather than on the past. We will be re-visiting the goals that were set at the beginning of this series, offering ways to overcome the obstacles we face in life and how to move forward with a new perspective on life. There will be an emphasis on accountability and personal empowerment. This class will offer participants the opportunity to ask questions and voice suggestions on what they would like to learn for future classes.
*This class will include a drawing for a Wellness Basket that is designed to help you keep on the path to wellness. Each person will get an entry for every class they attended in this series and there are no obligations attached. You must attend this class to win.

This two hour class will involve hands-on learning of how to use Young Living essential oils to make recipes and take them home with you. The ($20) cost includes all supplies needed to make three custom recipes to take and use at home, along with recipe ideas to use in the future. Supplies such as a spray bottle, a roller bottle, carrier oils, essential oils and other items needed to make custom products will be provided. The opportunity to become a Young Living member will be available but is not required.
